About Hong KongCommercial area

Central District

Central has traditionally been the favoured location for international financial services groups, the leading professional service concerns, multinationals' regional headquarters and Central Government Offices. The district accounts for some 35% of Hong Kong's total stock of offices.

Wanchai and Causeway Bay

Based around the Gloucester and Harbour Road arterial routes, this district provides a range of Grade A accommodation for the service industries, local and international trading and shipping companies and communications concerns. Offices towards the inner core of the Wanchai area and outer circumference of Causeway Bay are more popular amongst the local traders, local sales and marketing businesses and also medium to small-sized multinational service industries.

Tsimshatsui / Tsimshatsui East

The Kowloon Peninsula has developed over the last decade into the favoured location for those manufacturing and trading concerns which require proximity to the New Territories and mainland China industrial areas, the Airport and a range of hotel accommodation. The district houses around 19% of Hong Kong's overall office stock.

With the considerable increases in occupier's overheads, larger space users are in some instances reviewing the benefits of decentralising their support divisions to commercial developments in satellite locations. Cheung Sha Wan and Kwai Chung (Kowloon) Shatin (New Territories) and North Point and Quarry Bay (Hong Kong East) provide such accommodation.
